Positive Things About Islam

There MUST be good things about Islam, or most religions for that matter. Despite the fact that I have chosen to life my life without allowing ANY religion to get in the way of my private life, I see that Islam also has positive "aspects".

Sensitivity is a positive aspect. You can't draw any picture of the Prophet Mohammed because that could be idolatry -- or utter disrespect. That may be good, because I don't like to see pictures of prophets and "gods". Okay, I like what Michelangelo and da Vinci create but there are just too many crappy sculptured religious stuff made by mediocre artists. I'd rather have none.By sensitivity, I mean "art sensitivity".

Ever notice the choreography of Islam? Can anyone beat that? See all those devoted guys bowing in unison at the Mosque? Compared to Christianity where it's a free for all "dancing and clapping", hey, Islam seems to be a big more choreographed and artsy.

I love their Gothic type of dressing mode too... women wearing black with only their eyes exposed seem so gothic. I mean, that's elegance! It's budget-wise too because these nice presumably pretty women do not need to purchase designer brands... nor do they need the latest concealer make-up, botox, lipstick, and the whole line of Philosophy cosmetics (my favorite) recommended by Oprah. Most of these women also do not even need to go on a diet because they're all covered up and that's positive. It sucks when you're about ten pounds overweight and you have to worry about it.

I always was a Batman fan. I was watching replays of the old Batman starring Adam West (and Burt Ward) when I was 12 years old. I always wondered why women cannot be wearing something like Batman... so that's another positive aspect. Oh yes, and they don't eat pork which to me is positive because I am on a low-fat diet.

Islamic heaven is another positive aspect though very candidly, I wouldn't want to go there. Buy hey, this is a positive blog entry.. so the thing about the Islamic heaven is that it's easier to comprehend. It's something like a more hedonistic place with the virgins. I guess if you're a female you also have your virgins which is may not be too cool to my taste because I am not gay. I mean what do I do with 72 virgins (presumably female)? Yet, it sounds like a more real place than some heaven that is completely without sex. If given a choice however, perhaps, I'd choose the no - sex-heaven because I love the streets of gold and the lovely lake.. I am a nature lover. My problem however with BOTH these heavens is that they do not have dogs and I am a dog-lover.

Islam also calls for discipline which is good. You can't go wrong when you aren't supposed to say too much. Oh, and women should really not say too much, after all, they're too brilliant to act like the other more superior gender right? Women were created to be "helpers" of man.. and my do they need help, don't they? Of course, women can't TELL them that.

I like the idea of medieval living. After all, there are also loonies who say that the world will end on December 21, 2012 so what's wrong in trying to dodge the earth's deadline and go back to the medieval ages? That also will mean no computers, which admittedly sucks, but hey, there are flying camels and women will have no need for these crazy plastic surgeries. Of course, it would be tough if you were a nine year old female kid -- but at least you get your devout parents to pick out some old guy who will support and feed you all your life. Sounds comfy and there would be no need for women to be working to earn a living.

And the earth is flat.. which is pretty cool because one can walk through the whole world and go on a long walking tour. No more plane flights and tickets. Walk to Holland, France, or anywhere as long as you're covered and you don't talk to men. Most of your friends will naturally have to be women which is awesome because they're less complicated creatures.

Now, I wonder about the real postive aspects of the FSM CHurch??? Ummm...
