Paul Michael Glaser's Book Will Be OUT Soon

Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky) will be selling his FIRST book "Chrystallia" soon. The book is meant for kids and young adults and we've been to his book site and we find it amazing. REALLY. The story is a Christmas story that deals with the hang-ups of a 13-year old, but if you're into anything exciting, you should visit his book site and see MORE about what's it's all about.

No, we haven't read the book yet, obviously, because it isn't OUT yet but will soon be in time for the Christmas season. Being an adventure and fantasy nut however, I did visit his website (not his blog site, for Pete's sake!) and found myself engrossed in the preview of the book, including the pictures. I love ANYTHING that can "bring" me to another world, particularly the idea of a Christmas tree transporting me somehow to another place FAR from the earth to something like Crystal Land. Okay, maybe I have the Peter Pan syndrome and I like "flight" -- but can you imagine the creativity of this guy THINKING about the roots of a Christmas tree growing and taking one to a land where you see different colors of quartz and minerals? I like the idea of a "place" where you see yourself in another form. It's like a personal "quartz equivalent" of the same you isn't it?

Another good think about his book is that it dwells on relationships and family. We have a dying mother, a father who cares for his two kids and their kids. If there is anything missing these days when I go through kid stories, it is that most authors forget that "meaningful relationships" add reality to the excitement of the whole story, particularly if it is meant as a Christmas story.

I trust Paul Glaser. He probably is one of the most creative men in the planet plus he has acquired the wisdom from his own life experiences (including family tragedies). He probably is an A-1 writer, after all, he has a proven professional track record that shows that he takes every craft he does DAMN seriously. He also is a father who has two great kids (Jake Glaser has the soul of Mother Teresa. I love him). His GREAT parenting makes me believe that he is more qualified than most kiddie authors to write a book. NOTHING IMPRESSES ME MORE THAN A GOOD FATHER!

Also, He seems stable, sensible and wise despite the fact that he was the REAL Starsky a long time ago and he had global adulation then (and now). This guy is honest, no matter what he believes.

Go over his book site and get yourself entertained. Aside from the audio book (meant probably for fans who want to HEAR his voice to lull them into sleep?), there is the REAL BOOK -- meaning the book which I prefer. No, I am not a kid but wasn't "The Little Prince" meant to be a kiddie book too and it turned out to be one of the BEST books that EVERYONE of all ages love to read and re-read?

Drawings are unique and fascinating too but what REALLY caught my attention, aside from the book is the game about the book by Mario Bro (I love Ipod uploads) . I can only remember the mid 80'swhen Super Mario and the Donkey King were in craze and I loved it.. I still do! Okay, so I am a gadget freak.. but wouldn't it be nice to have some Chystallia game to play on your Ipod or cell?(I loved the Super Mario series and Donkey King is something I still play!)

Visualize a land of quartz, minerals and rocks and some kind of adventure you can play with in your java cell application.. nice idea isn't it?
