Paul Michael Glaser is TOO Good

People Lost lost Paul Michael Glaser's recognition of his ex-official website and this was after the TMZ report. Why not? As TMZ ponts out --- First, no one in his right mind would wish to be stalked as everyone should know by now. Celebrity-dom (or doom) always has its perks, let's get real about that too, but there is ALWAYS a price to pay. That price shouldn't be as steep as one losing his/her sense of security all because of nuts or fruitcakes who think they have every right to invade his/her privacy.

Truth : Glaser decided to give up on his official website because he has no legal right over it since it was not registered under his name. His lawyer probably told him that, plus the fact that he cooperated by writing his 'thoughts' which helped a fan website become an official one. Initially, the site was going GOOD, and he obviously had the best intentions trying to be gracious to everyone by accommodating every fan request for autographs, t-shirt signing and other 'little favors' that was coursed only through his webmaster. This started from a fan page which already existed but the guy was nice enough to collaborate (as he puts it) and write some of his thoughts with the hope to touching base with ALL of those who were interested to know what he was doing lately. No one saw that he was going out of his way to interact and react you --- TO ANYONE. I doubt if he wrote only for his fans but rather for all of those who wanted to know what he thought and engage in healthy discourse with him when and if he had the time.

The webmaster MOVED to his neighborhood. Yes. (Can you believe that?) For a while, Glaser tolerated until she moved nearer. He was writing a book and surely would have needed his 'official' (now ex-official) website to help him market until itbecame intolerable for the man (he is 68 years old but normally healthy) to have to cope with his webmaster having to sleep in her car near his house (this part is according to TMZ) and always barging in uninvited to his house. Then, when he realized that this situation could not go on, he asked the LA County Court to issue a Restraining Order against this woman who also is probably in her 50s. Last week, the court granted the order and Glaser feels more secure I hope as he goes through his book tours.

Having lost all access to Glaser, the woman USED his 'official site' and write some poetry which we would rather not reproduce here practically accusing Glaser of a lot of rather nasty things.What we are worried about is Glaser's right to LIVE free of fear and to publish and market his book and ENJOY his book tours and meet those who are waiting for him to make his tours. After all, he is THE "Starsky" to a generation that loved and made him part of their lives.

More important though is that we do wish to read his book and so do our kids. When we consider the life of this man who shunned publicity and lost his wife and daughter to AIDS and yet continued with a foundation which has already SAVED MILLIONS of lives, we cannot help make a stand for and with him and for what GOOD he has already done for people as far as Kenya and Tanzania. It is sad that he is being hassled and it is wrong. After all, how many Hollywood celebs his age can say they are still TRYING to save millions of lives?
