The Right Food Cures

It all started a week ago when my classmate Maan and I "met" at Facebook. I told her the story of another friend, Jackie, who managed to survive cancer by using "enzymes". Maan is a wholeness counselor and a firm believer of nutritional "medicine" because she was a diabetic and the right "food" seemed to completely cure her of that disease.

She believes in food substitution as a cure for a weak immune system. I asked her what her diet was that cured her diabetes and she told me that it was simple : a banana (the rough kind called "saba"); three very hot red peppers and 3 glasses of water. One is supposed to take this about three times a day. I tried it, though not a diabetic and I observed that after just a day, my asthma and allergies were gone and it did "clean" my system. The first day, I "let out" a lot of gooey stuff from the body twice. I wasn't even THAT serious about it... next day, I noticed that my pee color was clear.

Since we have REAL coconuts here really cheap, I also decided to drink as much as 2 glasses of coconut juice per day. After three days, I could breathe better and seemed to have much more energy. I also noticed that my skin seemed smoother... those diet Cokes certainly seemed to have dehydrated me (plus the coffee). I also rested and slept better. It was only later when I learned that people who were hungry during the Second World War survived because of coconut water (and the white "meat" inside the coconut). In fact, a doctor told me that during those dark days of the Japanese Occupation, coconut water was used as a substitute for the IV drip.

I added Moringa (Malunggay) to my diet. Moringga is what I would call a miracle cure for practically anything. It normalizes blood sugar, it increases sperm count (for men) and it heals wounds and even stomach ulcers. I did a research on the Moringa and found out that it had four times more calcium than milk and three times more potassium than bananas. In short, it does "heal" the immune system and makes it function more efficiently. My only "problem" with the Moringa (Malunggay) is that it also seems to boost my appetite along with my energy.

My cousin Otto Ycasiano (see him at Facebook) has long been on dialysis and suffers from renal failure. He is only 39 years old but he inherited the diabetic gene from his mother. He told me that what he did was boil the Moringa bark and leaves and make it into a "tea" and that would make him pee (previous to taking the Moringa he could only pee a little) about one and one half liter a day. Today, he says that he feels better and "less bloated" after taking Moringa or the Malunggay.

I say that the "right food" is THE CURE. Maybe my grandaunt (on my mother's side) IS right when she said that vegetables and fruits can be the answer... she isn't too much of a meat eater, but she loves fish, fruits and veggies .. and she's alive at 95!

@jim, saba bananas are those THICK ones that are only about 5 inches. They're not too sweet when boiled, they look "bended" and they're flat and thick with the rough texture :)

Very right! And this Moringga which we call Malunggay in our country has done wonders on me. I've written a blog on this miraculous veggie actually. It's found at http://healthy-and-evergreenlily.blogspot.com/2010

I couldn't agree more. You are what you eat. I have never heard of a Saba banana. Are those the small ones? I have seen those a few times in the grocery store. But, never tried them.
