Cyberbullying from Starsky Fans

Cult fandom? What is THIS?

When we refer to "Starsky" we do not mean Ben Stiller fans. We'd like to make that crystal clear from the start because Ben Stiller naturally may have younger fans -- but then again, we've recently realized that younger DOES NOT mean "making more sense".

We're talking about fans of Paul Michael Glaser, who is basically a good person. Glaser, is almost 68, and is trying to complete a book. Mind you, his writing is great -- his "fanatic" fans aren't. They're as perilous as those Islamic terrorists who protest too much (understatement) and "get personal" enoughto ruin another person's website. The webmaster isn't too keen in keeping order either... yet, her mantra is "love.. love.. love" and a lot of Zen-like talk that to my mind I doubt if she even comprehends. There I was reading to a really great blog that wasn't too LONGGGGG, and I read comments from the psychic life of ones cat to a lecture on Oriental theology (and I am Asian).

Anyway Glaser is into something like zen and sometimes shares his ideas on his blogs. Glaser makes it VERY clear that "he's not saying he's right or wrong... that we all have our truth and that we should figure out and discover ourselves "any way we want. He does add however that we can do this only through embracing our fear and loving everyone.. or trying to do so anyway. In short, his message is simple, some of his fan commentators make it  complex.

Then, it started when during one those rare occurrences, he was in a mood to write and share a bog entry called HOME. Basically, he meant that "home" really means where one's heart is most comfy with. There were a few who disagreed, and that set the majority of "extremist fans" against those who contradiction Glaser's short philosophy (if we may call it that). This contant bickering continued until I dared say that there is no difference between Joan of Arc and the author of something like the book "Conversation with God". Do you THINK I was given the RIGHT to debate my point? NO. Instead I was curtly told by a Glaser fanatic to "drop it". Heck, even those who couldn't UNDERSTAND English could comment as long as it was a LOVING message without making any sense which defeated the essence of Glaser's effort. After all, he made it crystal clear his blog are his thoughts not his fan site.

Then I got juicy emails about and from the webmaster. I felt that it was RIGHT to tell her that she was working and servicing really "loving" people (as Brutus is an honorable man.. yah get it?) . I GOT an email from another member of Glaser's "crazy fandom" telling me that the webmaster felt it was alright to kick her arse.. or something to that effect. Wow, was I impressed, I thought she was REALLY into love. No kidding.I wanted to offer her real estate in the San Andes fault because I figured she was either a mosochist, a Barry Manilow fan or into self-flagellation.When I called someone 'innocent', it was misconstrued.

That was until I received another email telling me that "our orientations were different" -- and I couldn't even comprehend what she meant by "orientation". Another friend of mine wondered if the whole "mantra group" was a fan cult and boldly posted the question -- no one dared reply. It was so WEIRD. I am wary of anything claimed by Hollywood to be spiritual -- be it "Scientology" to "alien abduction" and I say so. My networking blog was LITERALLY attacked by fan fanatics and was told something like this by one person who is in love with her cat (not men), another who says that she studies apes at Emory University and the webmaster who loves everyone and wants to say "LOVE" too often that it was boring. I was told to go elsewhere IN MY OWN SITE and someone wrote on my site these words:

"Also yes I am a devoted fan of Paul michael Glaser. So what? If you guys can't accept that then that's your problem not mine. I am actually loyal to my friends my real friends that is. Go play some where else."

We couldn't play somewhere else because they were referring to MY blog -- not the blog of Paul Glaser or the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Thus, I had to remind her that she had NO RIGHT to evict people from MY PERSONAL BLOG.

Some fans invaded my blog, talked really dirty to my friends... and all because she felt I "disrespected" her idol when i added that Paul Glaser wasn't "God". Yet Mr. Glaser's fanatic fans feel that it is alright to insult Mohammed, Jesus, the Pope and any organized religion.I am NOT upset about that. I never liked organized religion because it reminded me of the Crusades and the SPANISH Inquisition.

But imagine the cyber-violence done to my site? Talking about fruitcakes(and rather mature ones, mostly women) I cannnot help but feel anything but sympathy for the sad plight of Paul Glaser who at 68, has to endure the madness of "fandom". It made me wonder what this mortal (never claimed he was God) ever did in his previous life (if he had one) to deserve the warped affection of the oddest people in the planet.

Another thing really stange about this bunch of cookoos is that they seem NOT to want to hear about God.Instead, they refer to "the universe", "oneness","is-ness" and a lot of eerie linggo. It makes relatively normal people wonder how these people get through their day -- probably talking to themselves or walls?

Or perhaps, their "religion" called "oddness" .makes them prone to cyber-violence.

It makes me MISS Jesus Christ so bad. REALLY. I fact, now I probably love Jesus more -- because, He did make a LOT of more sense than talking to the walls or incessantly thinking about what I'm thinking (see how complicated and weird it sounds?) Most of all, I feel NOTHING but pity for Paul Michael Glaser who definitely is well intentioned.

I am not surprised. These are the same people who are cussing at each other at TMZ right now and I have heard a lot about that feline-freak, some call her Catwoman. You were right about that webmaster then. I also wonder what this poor guy ever did to ever deserve a bunch of lunatics like them.Did you see what is happening to his site.I learned of this link from the Spanish InquisiTION! lol

Ethel, someone informed me that he has heard about it. I hope he does some GOOD and EFFECTIVE preaching to those in his site.

Sounds a loud of silly nonsense. Wonder if Glaser is aware of all this.

Has anyone ever compared any ordinary blog traffic using Alexa with THAT blog? Bad...

You fans of Paul Glaser are the most uncouth people in this vast universe. You were the same people who attacked Internet Marketer Andy Beal. You are all nuts. I saw Bugsey's blog and so you admit that you "talked to her friends"? You do not have to talk to her friends when you can talk to her.

.

Ifyou can do this to internet marketeers who will NOT SELL Paul Michael Glaser's book because the same "fans" attacked him, what more harm to this wold do will you do? Does Paul Michael Glaser know the silly things you're doing?

Amy 23 months ago

I see that you did not put that the only reason she 'talked dirty with your friends' or invaded your blog is because you put HER personal emails on your blog, and then sent the link to her facebook, now correct me if I'm wrong here, but if you didn't want her on your precious blog then why send her the link? Hmm?

He should know about such cases.
